The Game Shop

After the disbandment of his previous punk band, Kimito was inspired by electronic music and formed a new project in 2008, which became THE GAME SHOP. Kimito and McD share a long history, having grown up in the same housing complex during childhood. THE GAME SHOP is an electro rock band rooted in rock and bass music, blending genres into a distinctive hybrid sound. Through performances in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, New Caledonia, and France, the band has absorbed musical and cultural influences from around the world. Their sound is supported by both the club and rock scenes, reaching an international audience. In addition to full band performances, THE GAME SHOP is also active as a DJ set unit, playing across Japan’s club scene and major festivals. They have shared the stage at events such as Summer Sonic with international acts including The Qemists, Modestep, and Kill The Noise. In 2020, THE GAME SHOP announced their first expansion into Europe. In 2023, they signed with Italian music company Mhodi Music Company to develop their presence across Europe. Since 2025, they have continued independently, expanding their creative reach worldwide.
