Mid Century Modem (MCM) is a Seattle-based alternative jazz duo featuring Seattle Hip Hop emcee/producer King Khazm, and singer/songwriter, Jesse Kogita. 2024 Golden Ear Award Nominees for NW Alternative Jazz Group of the Year, MCM’s music is a hand-built collage of original and improvised digital and live music built on the foundations of jazz and hip hop. They have shared the stage with Kassa Overall, Abstract Rude, Myka 9, DJ Scene, Supreme La Rock, Def-I, and others, and in 2026, were recognized by the City of Los Angeles for their contributions to the arts. Their musical journeys have spanned over two decades respectively, with both artists performing throughout the United States, and internationally at events such as Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Hempfest, World’s Fair Dubai, Earshot Jazz Festival, and Festival de la Juventud.
