Ilusión

Ilusión is a trio formed by Fernando Soria Salmerón, Jesús Beltrán, and Carlos Mayo Jimenez; three friends who connected through their love for music and shared roots as first-generation Mexican-Americans living in Delaware. With family ties to Quiroga, Michoacán, Jiménez, Chihuahua, and Huehuetlán el Chico, Puebla, their songs carry the weight of two cultures, three journeys, and one voice that speaks from the heart. They grew up listening to everything — from the romantic ballads their parents played at family gatherings to the raw, emotional sounds of corridos tumbados and alternative rock. That blend of influence shows up in their music, where traditional meets modern, and every lyric is grounded in real feeling. For Fernando, Jesús, and Carlos Ilusión is more than a name — it’s a reflection of their dreams, struggles, and everything they’ve felt along the way. Their sound isn’t boxed into one genre because they don’t live in just one world.
