Grace Bergere came up in the backrooms of NYC’s East Village, starting her musical career at a young age. Her work is dark, intimate, and unsparing. Often compared to Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, and PJ Harvey, Grace carries forward a lineage of artists known for raw honesty and lyrical depth.Having shared the stage with acts such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gogol Bordello, Jim Jarmusch, Jozef Van Wissem, Jon Spencer, Kaiser’s Orchestra, and Lydia Lunch, she has carved out her place in New York’s underground and beyond. Last year grace released her debut album on Casa Gogol Records, and is in the process of recording her second album. “Shortly before he checked out, Leonard Cohen asked if you want it darker. Bergere delivers that on every song.” -Michael Fremer in Tracking Angle on Graces debut album, A Little Blood “Grace Bergere is real rocknroll. Guitar slinger extraordinaire, songwriter par excellence, a badass and a sweetheart. What more can you ask for? Yeah, I’m a fan.” - Jim Jarmusch
