Release Athens Festival returns to Athens, Greece from June 6-25, 2026, presenting seven weeks of diverse musical programming across rock, metal, punk, alternative, and pop genres. The festival lineup features major headliners including Gorillaz, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Byrne, Pantera, and Pet Shop Boys, alongside renowned acts like Megadeth, The Offspring, Bad Religion, and Jean-Michel Jarre. With 36 artists from nine countries including established names like Limp Bizkit, Moby, Garbage, and The Flaming Lips, the series offers an extensive celebration of contemporary and classic alternative music. International diversity spans from Swedish metal acts like Sabaton to Jamaican reggae legends The Wailers, making this one of Greece's most comprehensive rock and alternative music events of 2026.
