Sunforger

Sunforger is a band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Their music has been described as “fast slowcore,” “weird punk,” and “post-everything”. They’ve made a box big enough to hold post-punk, grunge, college rock, shoegaze, and post-hardcore, and Sunforger is still firmly outside it. Their effortless uniqueness is built on rhythmic and percussive guitars, infinitely repeatable cadences, and emotive hypnagogia. The name Sunforger is spoken with reverence in DIY circles across North America, disseminated over half a decade of Bandcamp deep-diving, touring, festivals, a self-titled album, and a 7-minute EP. Sunforger’s eagerly awaited second album, entitled Weight, arrives May 5 2026 via the labels Cooked Raw and Julia’s War.
