Mike Checc

Mike Checc is Houston’s hometown hero. The Nigerian-born rapper is as layered as his bars; a graduate of The University of Houston and an IT specialist. Despite his sometimes shaky upbringing, Mike chose music and poetry as a way to rise above his circumstances. “It was difficult coming to a new country and trying to find your way.” Mike was a prominent force in the underground scene from 2015-2017 with the likes of Don Toliver and Ken The Man, until the passing of his brother in 2017. Since 2019 Mike has been rebuilding and relearning the game and himself. Now reaffirmed Mike Checc is poised and ready for a new resurgence.
